Beach Wheelchair Scheme

We are delighted to announce that this scheme has been expanded to our very own Balcarrick Beach right on our doorstep. This means we have the availability of a Hippocampe Beach Wheelchair at the hotel available for anyone to use.

This specialist chair is designed to make it easier for beach users with a disability or mobility restrictions to access our wonderful beach. The chair will ensure ease of movement on uneven ground and soft sand.

This service is free of charge but we strongly advise that you book in advance to avoid disappointment.

How to Book

A completed booking form will be required and also proof of identity.

Please be aware, that it is important for the wheelchair user to have a helper in attendance as Hotel Staff or Lifeguards are not in a position to help the user either into or out of the wheelchair.

Chairs are available throughout the month of August from 11am to 7pm, and can be booked in slots of up to 4 hours at a time.
